Field Service Technician

American Electric Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AETI), the premium global provider of power delivery solutions to the traditional and renewable energy industries, is hiring a Field Service Technician for their automation & controls division.

Job Requirements:

• Promote & maintain a safe working environment for the team & adhere to the companies safety policies and procedures
• Field experience with electrical and electronic systems
• Intermediate to advanced analog and digital DC motor drives; “Ross Hill” style systems preferred
• Intermediate to advanced analog and digital AC motor drives; 690V class IGBT systems preferred
• Intermediate to advanced PLC programming experience; Wago, Allen Bradley, Siemens preferred
• Three phase electrical power conversion up to 4160V
• Motor Control Centers
• Digital Communications systems; various protocols such as Modbus, CANbus, TCP/IP, etc.
• Proficient with MS Office software
• AC and DC motor theory
• Engine-Generator controllers
• Knowledge of and experience with Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, and other General Purpose Electrical Test Equipment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interface with customers effectively
• Oversees travel up to 75% of the time; road warrior

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience as an Electrical Field Service Technician and proven track record
• Experience in drilling or marine industries preferred
• Passport required
• Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) required
