Job Duties:

Job Duties:
- Promote & maintain a safe working environment for the team & adhere to the company’s safety policies and procedures
- Design of AC or DC variable speed drive systems
- Contribute to the design of generator control, motor control or PLC, and control panels
- Testing of equipment in our factories and at the customer sites, resolve system issues, which may result from software, mechanical stress, electrical connections, or design, & support field service (training and occasional travel)
- Evaluating new order entry documents and customer specifications to procure the proper materials, create the proper design electrical schematics, bill of materials, mechanical documentation, and other required documentation for release to manufacturing
- Communicate design information and work effectively as a team with manufacturing personnel
- Coordinate projects by controlling the schedules, budgets, interfacing to customers, and overall project management from order entry to customer acceptance
- General familiarity with PLC programming and hardware
- Interface with customer and vendors
- Professionally document plans and results, present findings and recommendations
- Functional requirements specifications
- Sequence operation
- User manual/user requirements specifications
- Analog circuit (op-amp) operation
- Electrical Motor Operation AC, DC
- Exposure to various communications protocols/systems:
-DeviceNet
-ControlNet
-Ethernet
-Modbus
-Serial
-Profibus
- Knowledge of NEC codes, NFPA codes, IEC codes, etc.
Job Requirements:
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology or equivalent
- 10 or more years experience & proven track record in industry
- Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills
- Advanced electrical knowledge
- Good general engineering background where experience with any of the following are a plus: diagnostics, data analysis, software development or testing electronics analog or digital, Ethernet, routers, oscilloscopes, simulation tools such as simplorer
- Good written and verbal communication, including strong interpersonal skills and ability to take the initiative
- Exposure to oil-field operations a plus
- Exposure to solar and or wind power industries a plus
- Ability to read and understand drawings for electrical controls and mechanical parts
- Ability to travel nationally or internationally as needed
